External Drives Guide
It's common when buying few years old refurbished laptop, that it lacks drive you need. What should you do in such case? Should you look for another offer? Not necessarily. If the offer you found is good (price, condition, warranty) you can consider looking for internal drive for such laptop model and replace the current drive with the one you need. However, if you don't really need internal drive, easier and cheaper would be to choose some universal external drive with USB of FireWire interface.
There is a very big choice of many types of external drives. Starting from obsolete (but sometimes useful) floppy drives, through all kinds of optical drives like CD, DVD and CD/DVD burners and the most flexible ZIP drives, to many types of external hard drives.
You can also choose virtually every type of drive with USB, FireWire or PC Card (this is rather rare option) interface. The most common, because of its popularity and availability in almost every computer is USB.
In this guide you will find detailed description of every external drive type.
